Additional Information
- Storybook Puppet Theater performances are most enjoyed by children ages 4-9, but thoroughly enjoyed by any mixed age and family audience.
- The performance lasts for 30-40 minutes and combines storytelling with the main puppet play.
- SPT has customized many of the original stories to feature the guest of honor as the namesake for the central character, so some of the titles of the puppet plays reflect the child’s name for whom it was first performed.
- The puppets used in the featured puppet play are mainly glove puppets in the tradition of King Friday (Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood) and Punch and Judy shows. Most of the puppets employed by SPT are handcrafted.
- Classical music interludes, sound effects, and vivid backdrops make a complete and engaging event.

Technical Requirements
- SPT requires a minimum performance space of 7’ wide by 6’ deep with a clearance of 7’ high. Smaller performance spaces may be accommodated. This does not include an audience seating area, which is provided by the host.
- SPT requires access to one standard electrical outlet within 25’ of the performance space.
- SPT requires a minimum of 90 minutes prior to the start time of any function to set-up the puppet theater apparatus and perform a sound check.
